GE Wall Speakers Outlets

The last few days, I am working on some home repair items around the house. So, I am spending a lot of time at Home Depot and Lowes stores. These projects are really trying at times. It is really funny to me that the Home Depot and Lowes are next to each other in my city. It is really easy to compare prices and customer service at the two stores. The home Depot customer service is a little bit better for me at the Home Depot store but I have found a few lower price items at Lowes for myself.

I am installing these speaker outlets in the walls for my audio system. The hardest part was installing the wire through the walls in my house. The attic in my house was very hard to get access to the walls in my office. First, I had to find the wall studs in my attic so I could get the speaker wire down the wall. I had to drill a hole 5/8 inch on the top wall stud to get the wire through the wall. I had to figure out that the electrical wire running through my attic was the key to my success. I had to follow the electrical wire to get the speaker wire to my drywall cut out. Next, I had to determine the hole for my GE speaker outlet. I didn't know at the time that I had to put in a outlet box for my project. These electrical outlet boxes are really easy to install. I had to fish the speaker wire through the walls of my house. I found a great buy for the speaker wire at Mike's merchandise store. The GE speaker wire was $5.50 for 100 feet of wire. One of the walls was pretty easy to do because it didn't contain the same amount of insulation in the walls. It was pretty hard to get the fish wire to come down the wall so I had to tie a heavy object to help the line get down the wall. Then, you will need to connect all the speaker wire to outlet studs. I have my Yamaha stereo system connected to the speaker outlet too and the system is doing really okay.

This project was kind of hard in the beginning because I made a hole in the ceiling because I didn't know about the soft drywall in my attic. So, I need to repair this large hole with some new drywall in the next few days. This problem should be really fun to do because I am going to keep a positive attitude about this problem. I am understanding too that it is okay to make some mistakes in these projects. If, you will maintain a positive attitude about certain things in your life. I will see you down the road. Stay positive.
